Georgia Tech recruiting hockey players
2010-01-04
Check out the open letter from Georgia Tech alumni Hiro Takeda about the Yellow Jacket hockey program and GT in general.Dear Team Manager,
My name is Hiro Takeda and I am an alumni of Georgia Tech and the Georgia Tech Ice Hockey Team. As an alumni of Georgia Tech living in the Dallas area, I would like to inform you of our nationally recognized hockey program and to ask you if you would pass our information to your players, who are looking after they
graduate from High School, to continue playing hockey, and also receive an excellent education from one of the premier colleges/universities in our country.
GT is a very competitive school and their admissions requirement is very competitive as well. We are in search of that fine student/athlete who can meet the admission requirement of a technology based university. Presently, 90% of our student/athletes on our hockey team graduate with some form of an engineering degree and ALL of them have received job opportunities prior to them graduating this fine institution.
Last season, the team had 7 seniors, and all 7 received excellent jobs offers, even in these tough economic times. Employers know, what they are getting when they hire a GT graduate.
Would you be able to past along the following link to your players and parents, as this is an information link about our program and the university and it provides some important links about Georgia Tech.

I know the college decision process can be difficult, and students and parents want to make sure they make the right choice, and I can speak highly of my degree from Georgia Tech as it has opened up many opportunities for me. If any students or parents have any questions, please feel free to contact Coach McSparron at
bmcs1972@windstream.net.
Please keep in mind that the application deadline for the 2010-2011 school year is approaching (
Jan. 15th) according to our admissions website.
